My name is Mike and I'm the owner/operator of Job Quest! I created this business to deliver quality career coaching and resume services for people from all backgrounds. However, my passion lies with helping folks leaving military service.
I was an active duty Marine for 10 years, serving 6 of those years as a career counselor. After an injury ended my military career, I had to leave the service and start a new career.
I know how hard the transition to civilian employment can be. Despite having an MBA and a decade of experience, it took me months to land a job that I knew matched my skills and expertise. What I learned during this transition has proven to be invaluable for the folks I now help with their job search.
I now serve as a GS-13 Manager with hiring authority for a federal agency in the Chicago area. I have years of experience with this agency, reviewing hundreds of resumes and mentoring and developing my direct reports along their career path. I've successfully steered numerous employees to more lucrative positions, despite having to lose them from my team!
